Our programs are designed to empower survivors of intimate partner violence to lead happy, successful, and fulfilling lives. With each program, you will have the guidance of an experienced professional who will work with you in a variety of ways. We are committed to assisting you in developing healthy habits as a foundation for a better life.

Living Assistance

Anafiel House believes that a secure and healthy environment is essential for recovery from intimate partner violence. 

Transportation

Assists with getting our clients to job interviews, doctor's appointments, child care facilities.

Education/Employment

If your abuser prevented you from finishing your education or attaining employment, our Educational/Employ-ment Assistance Program is here to help by providing limited assistance.

Medical/Mental Health

Anafiel House provides limited assistance for qualified clients for medical services directly related to injuries received due to intimate partner violence.

Interagency Referral Network

Connecting Survivors with Services they Need

It is often difficult for survivors to find the services they need to move forward with their recovery. After receiving a needs assessment, our clients can receive personal referrals to:

  • Shelters

  • Attorneys

  • Child Care

  • Counselors

  • Job Placement Services

  • Physicians

  • Psychiatrists

  • Psychologists

  • Social Workers

Survivor Care Supplies

Sometimes survivors find themselves unable to meet their basic needs without a little help.  Anafiel House will provide qualified clients with short-term supplies according to their needs and our ability to provide, including but not limited to:

  • Food

  • Clothing

  • Grooming supplies

  • Non-prescription Medical Items

Support Groups

You Are Not Alone

Sometimes it helps to get together and talk about our experiences, hear each other's stories, and share our solutions.

Anafiel House organizes and hosts support groups on topics related to intimate partner violence.

*Due to Covid, we have been unable to host any support groups.  However, be on the look out for future remote meetings coming soon!*

Community and Professional Education

Working For A Tomorrow That Doesn't Need Us

Through our Community and Professional Education Programs, we have a real potential to reduce the incidence of intimate partner violence and improve services and outcomes for survivors.
Anafiel House develops and produces events and materials for educating the general public as well as professionals on topics pertaining to IPV in all relationship types.

Living Assistance Program

Because Home Is Where Healing Happens

Our Living Assistance Program allows us to provide limited assistance to qualified clients for living expenses such as:

  • Locate and obtain clean affordable housing

  • Deposits for Electric, Gas, and Water

  • Household items 

  • Furnishings

Educational-Employment Assistance Program

One of the common challenges to self-sufficiency faced by IPV survivors after escaping long-term abusive relationships is not having the education required to secure a position with adequate pay. 

If your abuser prevented you from getting or finishing your education, our Educational Assistance Program is here to help by providing limited assistance to qualified clients. 

Programs for assistance for qualified clients include:

  • Job skills training

  • Vocational training

  • Obtaining GED certificates

  • Budgeting and financial planning

Educational Assistance Program

Medical/Mental Health Recovery Assistance Program

Our Medical/Mental Health Recovery Assistance Program allows us to provide assistance to qualified clients with medical/mental health services, related directly to the mental and physical trauma that occurred during their abuse.

Transportation Program

Getting You Where You Need To Go

Depending on our clients' assessment and immediate needs, our Transportation Program assists with getting our clients:

  • reinstating/obtaining their driver's license

  • acquiring vehicle registration

  • auto insurance

Assist with transportation to:

  • job interviews

  • doctor's appointments

  • child care facilities

  • or any other important appointments they may have that require transportation.

In doing this, our clients' sense of self worth begins to grow, leading them to feel more confident and self-sufficient.
